It's that time of the year...

It's the winter solstice and Father Christmas will soon be among us once more. But did you hear about The Year Without A Santa Claus? I try to pick up one of the old stop-action Christmas classics I grew up on each year, and i finally found the one that was my favorite when I was a wee one.

I distinctly remembered the songs by the weather brothers, you know, "I'm Mr. White Christmas, I'm Mr. Snow. I'm Mr. Icicle, I'm Mr. one below." from the Snow Miser and "I'm Mr. Green Christmas, I'm Mr. Sun. I'm Mr. Heat Blister, I'm Mr. hundred and one." from the Heat Miser. It was more than that when I watched it anew with my own kids. I even got teary eyed (hey, if you have had any tragedy in your life, you just aren't human if you cannot cry) for a lot of it. It was a golden find.

My youngest noticed the big similarity between the Miser Brothers and the elves Jingle and Jangle (all pictured above). I was going to post a picture of a famous person that resembles Snow Miser to a tee, but why spoil the moment...
Merry Christmas!
